Since its launch in 2016, Good American has been advertised as an inclusive denim brand with something for every woman. Co-founded by Khloe Kardashian (opens in a new tab)the brand began with the “biggest denim launch in history” and has since continued its mission to cater to everyone with releases of swimwear, loungewear and ready-to-wear collections.

While inclusivity is at the heart of the brand, Good American also emphasizes sustainability and environmental responsibility. Currently, 70% of Good American’s denim collection is made from responsible materials and the brand has even managed to earn the elusive B Corp certification.

As many women crave for perfectly fitted jeans (opens in a new tab) like finding a needle in a haystack, at Marie Claire we decided to put Good American to the test by having three team members try on the jeans (opens in a new tab) and offer their honest opinions. Hayley’s verdict: “I’m in love with the Good Legs Flare Twisted Slit from Good American. Good American is known for its high quality and everyday wear. As a bigger woman, I tend to choose jeans with a flare at the bottom to even out my proportions and draw attention to the top.I love the split front design to give a modern touch and elevate your look for any occasion. These jeans are great to wear with a pointed heel to elongate your legs. This is the perfect jeans for all seasons – with the colder weather here I would wear these with a 60s style leather tie platform bootie. The fabric is crisp with the right amount of stretch and a very high waist for a chic finish.

Although I loved these jeans, throughout the day they stretched and felt a little baggy around the waist. I tend to prefer non-stretch jeans to feel tucked in all day. ”

Zoe’s verdict: “As a petite woman (I stand at a tiny 5’0”), I’ve always struggled to find the perfect length jeans. Sometimes even specific short articles have been too long for me. Luckily, that wasn’t the case when it came to Good American’s small range, as the length of this style matched perfectly. No trip to the tailor necessary!

Immediately I noticed how comfortable these jeans were, and it’s all thanks to that signature Good American stretch. That said, I think the addition of the stretchy elastic means these jeans have a slimmer feel than traditional denim. If you’re looking for a heavier fabric, go for styles marked “stiff” on the Good American website.

Jadie’s verdict: “I’ve wanted to try Good American for a very long time, as I’ve always found it very difficult to find a good pair of jeans that fit my waist without holes, and at the same time provide enough room on the hips for my behind isn’t about to fall apart at any sudden movement.Good American offers sizes in between, which is magic for anyone who regularly suffers from the decision to go too tight or too loose, so I have opted for size 15 and they fit like a The jeans are also super soft and I love the color.

The only thing I’m not happy about is that the pair I tested lacked the durability of regular denim, and considering the price, I wish they were thicker. The stretch is great for holding on to your curves, but I’m afraid they’ll eventually lose their shape and suffer the dreaded knee sag.”
