Season 5 made Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War a full game filled with content, maps, and guns. To really dominate it, we’ve created the 10 Best Loadouts to try out with our pick of the best weapons, accessories, and funniest perks.
One of the great things about Call of Duty multiplayer is that there are tons of different maps and modes to consider. Your trusty base gear can positively thrive on a smaller map like Nuketown, but can lack the range for something larger in nature like Armada.
Treyarch’s latest CoD game has so many different avenues to explore and loadouts to try out, and we’ll walk you through the best.
Here are the 10 best weapon loadouts, attachments, and perks to use in Black Ops Cold War Season 5.
Black Ops Cold War Season 5 Top 10 Uploads
10. Diamatti
- Optical: Microflex LED
- Muzzle: SOCOM eliminator
- Barrel: 7.2 â³ Working Group
- Magazine: Quick Mag
- Manipulate: Airborne elastic wrap
Even though we think the AMP63 is the best use for the gun, it’s not as freely available to everyone, and the Diamatti has a lot more reviews to use. Plus, you can easily rip players apart if you’re specific enough.
He can fight his way through bursts of bullets and his extremely light nature allows for incredible mobility on any map, especially larger ones like Cartel. Focus your shots and this weapon of risk and reward will pay off a lot.
9. Street sweeper

- Muzzle: duckbill choke
- Barrel: 14.6 â³ Tidy up
- Body: SWAT 5mw laser sight
- Magazine: STANAG 18 RND drum
- Store: Wire
Many people understand the brutal destruction potential of the incredible Streetsweeper Shotgun. He’s had a long period of popularity in Warzone, and he’s still very viable in Season 5 of Cold War.
It gets its name from the fact that you can literally walk around and just pull the trigger to take out a team in seconds without aiming. Naturally, it all comes down to its reload time, which is bordering on horrible. Still, it’s a fun accessory to wear and can dominate in Hardcore.
8. FARA 83

- Optical: Axial arms 3x
- Muzzle: Infantry compensator
- Barrel: 13.5 â³ working group
- Sub-barrel: Front handle of the field agent
- Manipulate: Airborne elastic wrap
After a bit of time in the dark and other guns that made headlines, players return to the FARA 83 assault rifle again. It received a decent buff in Season 5 of Cold War, and you should consider it again.
It’s a faster-than-normal firing AR, doesn’t hit too hard, and it’s fairly easy to unlock. The FARA 83 is a solid choice to use.
7. KSP 45

- Optical: Visiontech 2x
- Muzzle: Muzzle brake .45 APC
- Barrel: 10.2 â³ striped
- Sub-barrel: Front handle of the field agent
- Manipulate: Snake wrap
A weapon that, until season 2, was pretty much rejected by the entire Call of Duty community and avoided in Black Ops Cold War. After a much needed upgrade, the KSP 45 is now one of the best weapons in the game.
A great feature of the KSP 45 is that it is extremely versatile and can be customized to suit a multitude of different setups and tactics.
6. XM4

- Optical: Microflex LED
- Muzzle: Suppressor
- Barrel: 13.7 â³ Withdrawal
- Sub-barrel: Field agent grip
- Manipulate: Airborne elastic wrap
Even though it is one of the best weapons in all of the Black Ops Cold War, it occupies this place due to its new secret accessory which increased its reload speed.
If you’re a recoil fan and are probably comfortable with an effective assault rifle in your hands, then a fast reloading XM4 is a big plus in the field. A lot of people go for the XM4, and that’s because it’s a reliable and repeatable beast.
5. Switzerland K31

- Barrel: Team Tiger 24.9 â³
- Body: Spotlight on Team Tiger
- Store: Raider Stock
- Magazine: 8th Mag
- Manipulate: Airborne elastic wrap
Added in Season 3 of Black Ops Cold War, some players have complained that the Swiss K31 is a hitting machine.
The reality is that if you equip the right gear for the Swiss K31, you probably have the best sniper rifle in the game. It’s exceptional for quickscoping, and it’s beautiful to use on most maps with long channels. and relatively open.
It ranks much higher on this list because, in the right hands, this loadout is simply deadly and cannot be countered. With a reduced Sniper Flinch, much to the chagrin of players, quickscoping is a real threat.
This is also another weapon suitable for Warzone – here is our best Swiss K31 Warzone loadout.
4. AK-47

- Optical: Axial arms 3x
- Muzzle: KGB eliminator
- Sub-barrel: Spetzsnaz handle
- Magazine: 40 kt
- Manipulate: GRU elastic band
A few nifty changes suddenly made the AK-47 a ridiculous fusion machine that can mark enemies from a distance due to its obscene firepower.
If you find the recoil easy to override, then our AK-47 loadout might really make the assault rifle the best weapon to use. He’s so incredibly powerful at mid-length that you can’t really be matched.
The Cold War variant is also very popular in Warzone – here is the best Cold War AK-47 loadout for Warzone.
3. CL10

- Optical: Diamondback Reflex
- Barrel: 13.2 â³ striped
- Muzzle: SOCOM eliminator
- Sub-barrel: Field agent grip
- Manipulate: Airborne elastic wrap
If an Olympic sprinter was a weapon, it would be the LC10. This easy-to-use SMG is fast in every way and simply snaps in all game modes.
It recently suffered a slight nerve which slightly affected its performance but make no mistake, the LC10 is virtually untouchable. Make sure the LC10 is unlocked and don’t sleep on that ridiculous SMG.
2. TEC-9

- Muzzle: Burst fire repeater
- Barrel: 7.3 â³ Heavy Reinforced
- Under barrel: Handshake of field agent
- Ammunition: 30 Rnd
- Manipulate: Dropshot wrap
Truth be told, the LC10 is still the king of SMGs in Cold War Season 5, but the versatility of the TEC-9 makes it a brilliant weapon to try and experience.
Did you know that the TEC-9 can be customized to be one of three different weapon types? In its basic form it’s a semi-automatic, but attachments can also make it a burst pistol or even its most powerful form – a fully automatic killing machine.
1. Krige 6

- Muzzle: Infantry compensator
- Barrel: 19.7 â³ Prowler
- Sub-barrel: Field agent grip
- Magazine: 40 kt
- Manipulate: Airborne elastic wrap
Saving the best for last, the Krig 6 remained pretty much unresponsive as the king of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. The assault rifle easily stands on its two feet without any attachments and on its own tears through halls.
But using our best Krig 6 gear elevates its status to the all-time great Call of Duty.
Best perks for Black Ops Cold War

- Advantage 1: Tactical mask / Flak jacket
- Advantage 2: Reducer / Assassin
- Advantage 3: Ghost / Ninja
Each part of Black Ops Cold War deals with a high frequency of Proximity Mines, Gas Mines, Semtex, and Stun Grenades, so Tactical mask and Bullet proof vest are two essential advantages.
You always need more points in a Cold War game, and Assassin can turn a bad game into a good one when you kill someone on a 10+ killstreak streak and get a lot of points for doing so. Reducer also helps with the replenishment of equipment, generally gas mines.
Ghost keeps you off the radar of spy planes and other sleuth-like scoring streaks, while Ninja lets you run like crazy without being detected.
