(MENAFN) China’s securities watchdog has accepted initial public offerings (IPOs) from five companies in the science and technology innovation board.

According to the China Securities Regulatory Commission, Shanghai Awinic Technology Co., Ltd., Shenzhen Breo Technology Co., Ltd., Hunan Warrant Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., Shanghai W-Ibeda High Tech Group Co., Ltd. and Sichuan Tianwei Electronic Co., Ltd. will be part of the science and technology innovation board of the Shanghai Stock Exchange, generally recognized as the STAR market.
The companies and their underwriters will confirm IPO dates and issue prospectuses after discussions with the exchange.

The STAR marketplace, installed in June 2019 and designed to retain companies in high-tech and planned emerging sectors, lightened the listing criteria but implied higher information disclosure requirements.
